At least three years’ experience in administration and supervision is highly preferred.Reports to: Superintendent & Assistant SuperintendentsJob Goals: To serve the district as leader, advisor, advocate, and resource overseeing the implementation of the school’s quality program of wellness and social emotional learning. Supervises: Social Workers and Family Support Center Coordinator Job Responsibilities:Coordinates Social Emotional Learning curriculum development, K-12, in conjunction with the departmental teams and the Assistant Superintendents.Coordinates with building principals on all Sprigeo and other Bullying reports to ensure accurate data and timeliness.Provides support to Principals when investigating and communicating reports of bullying.Collaborates with the Directors of Curriculum and Instruction, Director of Pupil Services and Director of DEI as necessary, to provide leadership to instructional leadership teams including training, goal setting, implementation of plans, and evaluation of work. Attends all appropriate meetings.Collaborates with the Director of Athletics, PE and Health to align SEL curriculum and wellness initiatives within those areas.Collaborates with building administrators and Administrative Department Heads to implement all parts of the Social Emotional Learning FrameworkProvides leadership and direction to Administrative Department Heads in collaboration with the Assistant Superintendent and Principals.Coordinates the hiring of Student Support staff in conjunction with the building principals and Administrative Department Heads.Stays current with State mandates and instructional best practices and communicates this information in a timely and effective manner to all applicable parties.Provides leadership and direction to the Social Work Team and Family Support Center CoordinatorOversees the departmental budget.Maintains a full APPR teacher caseload and collaborates with building and district administrators to support APPR evaluation processes.Oversees Early Childhood Program in conjunction with appropriate Directors.Collaborates with other Directors to develop/update the district's Professional Development Plan annually. Coordinates in-service programs for teachers, including Superintendent's Conference Day plans and after school programs.Coordinates selection, utilization, and maintenance of all instructional materials used as part of the SEL curriculum.Writes and administers grants as appropriate.Oversees Board Health and Wellness Advisory TeamKeeps the Assistant Superintendents, the Superintendent, and Board of Education informed concerning all major developments in the schools through regular reports.Coordinates meetings, committees, and activities that might be necessary to produce an effective instructional program.Complete all other tasks as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Assistant Superintendents.
