The Utica Academy of Science Charter School Campus is looking immediately for an Operations Manager to fulfill the following job functions:Operations Manager RolesCoordinate with District Office to ensure smooth operations, identify needs, and facilitate flow of informationEnsures implementation and maintenance of clear systems that allow principals and teachers to focus on studentsSupport instruction and student achievement by maintaining excellent finances, facilities, infrastructure, HR/employee relations, and communication with families, district counterparts and other stakeholdersSupport dean of school in all aspects of school leadership, including but not limited to staff and student culture, family communication and stakeholder relationshipsCollaborate with charter personnel to project student enrollments, staff needs, building and facilities needs, energy needs, capital equipment needs and other cost items for the charter and individual school improvementBudget Tracking RolesOversee school budget and spending and maintain internal control at the schoolBuilding Manager RolesSupervise main office, security, school nurse, maintenance, cleaning and transportation staffSchedule events and facility usage (i.e. schoolwide events, programs, gym)AP/Purchasing RolesPrepare all documents before and after purchasing (i.e. approvals, quotes, packing slips, asset tagging)AP/Purchasing RolesPrepare all documents before and after purchasing(approvals, quotes, packing slips, asset tagging)HR RolesCommunicate with HR department at District Office regarding HR needs of staffMaintain and file HR documentsTrain new hires for smooth transitioningEnsure school-wide compliance with laws and regulationsEnsure that school-based employees receive payroll and benefits in timely and accurate mannerActivity Coordinator RolesArrange all extracurricular events and programs including transportationFood Liaison RolesEnsure school-wide compliance with health and safety lawsManaging lunch accounts-forms/claims/chargesTransportation Service RolesManage all students transportation service programArrange transportation for all events and activities, including fieldtripsOther Operations Manager RolesMaintain inventory-asset and inventory documents to secure school assetsEnable District Office to maintain soft copy documentation system in AP/purchasingWork with IT Manager to coordinate the classroom and school technology issuesLocal and state grant opportunities and grant applicationStudent enrollment and recruitment supportManage relationships with all outside organizations and leads the school’s efforts to partner with organizationsTrack student admission applications and maintain waitlistManage the school secretary and main office staff, and ensure the smooth operation of the main office i.e. mailings, attendance reporting, office machine maintenancePerforms other related duties as required and assignedRequirementsBachelor’s Degree required.
