SANY's Utica Academy of Science Charter School’s Elementary School in Utica, NY is excited to announce the opening for an Administrative Assistant:Responsibilities and DutiesOrganize and maintain an efficient and effective office that handles a variety of tasks for the administration, faculty, students, and parents of the school Distribute mail and handle correspondence of the office, responding to routine requests Electronically distribute notices to staff, students and parents Acts as a receptionist, greeting visitors, answering telephone calls, and communicating effectively Register new students, maintain student records, and transfer records for students moving to other schools Assist with transportation Maintain daily attendance data for students in the database Order and maintain office supplies Perform other duties as assigned We are looking for:Excellent organizational and multitasking skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsWork well under pressure and exhibit a professional demeanorKnowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word and ExcelComfortable with Google CloudQualifications and Skills:High School Diploma required; degree preferredExperience in a school setting preferredFingerprint clearance through the NYS Department of EducationOffice management experience a plusWho We AreScience Academies of New York Charter Schools (SANY) is a unique K-12 school district serving the Syracuse and Utica, New York communities.
