Job Description:Anticipated Probationary Opening: Full Time ENL (English as a New Language) TeacherKey Responsibilities:ENL (K-12) Teacher:Maintain organized records of student data and progress (K-12), measured across academic years.Follow state laws and regulations for providing ENL services to students (K-12).Knowledge / experience administering state assessments (NYSITELL - identifying students who need to receive ENL services / NYSESLAT - measure annual growth and progress of students receiving ENL services).Collaborate with classroom and content teachers (K-12) to discuss ideal scheduling for both Push-in and Pull-out ENL support and instruction.Collaborate with classroom and content teachers (K-12) to provide in class (push-in) support, accommodations, and differentiation to English Learning (EL) students.Collaborate with classroom and content teachers (K-12) to determine areas or skills in need of reteaching or focus during pull-out ENL lessons.Develop culturally responsive ENL pull-out curriculum and lessons for students K-12Have knowledge of mandated testing accommodations for English Learning (EL) students, ensuring these accommodations are being provided and communicated K-12.Facilitate communication with non-English speaking families in the districtTranslate important announcements, flyers, school related documents for non-English speaking families in the district.
