This position is ideal for an inquiry-driven educator who is passionate about fostering scientific thinking, curiosity, and real-world application of knowledge. The successful candidate will support students in developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills through engaging, standards-based science instruction. Job Description The Science Teacher is responsible for delivering instruction aligned with the New York State P-12 Science Learning Standards (NYSSLS), emphasizing three-dimensional learning through Science and Engineering Practices, Crosscutting Concepts, and Disciplinary Core Ideas. This role includes designing hands-on, inquiry-based lessons that integrate life science, earth and space science, and foundational physical science concepts. The teacher will create a student-centered classroom environment that promotes exploration, collaboration, and scientific reasoning.
