Job Posting: Teaching Assistant – Extended School Year (ESY) Tuckahoe Union Free School District (UFSD) Position: Teaching Assistant (ESY Program) Location: Tuckahoe UFSD, Elementary, Middle & High School Program Dates: July 1 - August 11, 2026 Days/Hours: Monday through Friday schedule, 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM Compensation: As Per Contract Job Summary Tuckahoe Union Free School District is seeking dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistants to support students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. The ESY program provides specialized instruction and related services to students with disabilities to help maintain academic, social, and behavioral skills over the summer months. Job Description The Teaching Assistant works under the general supervision of a certified teacher to provide instructional and behavioral support to students in the ESY program. This role involves assisting with the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), reinforcing lessons, supporting student engagement, and helping to create a structured and inclusive classroom environment. The Teaching Assistant may also support students with physical or personal care needs and assist in maintaining accurate records of student progress.
