Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) (1.0 FTE â Probationary/Tenure Track as Applicable)Location: Districtwide â Tuckahoe Union Free School DistrictPosition OverviewThe Tuckahoe Union Free School District seeks a qualified and collaborative Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to support students across grade levels with behavioral, social-emotional, and learning needs. The BCBA will work in partnership with administrators, teachers, related service providers, and families to design and implement evidence-based behavioral supports aligned with student IEPs and district initiatives.This is a full-time, districtwide position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package in accordance with district contracts and experience.Minimum QualificationsValid New York State certification in Special Education, School Psychology, School Social Work, School Counseling, or related fieldCurrent certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)Demonstrated successful experience working with school-age students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and/or social-emotional/behavioral needsFormal training and applied experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary teamPreferred Qualifications:Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a BCBA in a school settingExperience supporting students across a range of ages and functioning levelsBilingual candidates are encouraged to applyTraining and/or certification in crisis prevention and intervention models (e.g., CPI, TCI, or similar)Primary ResponsibilitiesThe BCBA will provide districtwide behavioral consultation, intervention, and training, including but not limited to:Assessment and Program DevelopmentConduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and functional analyses as appropriateDevelop, write, and monitor Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and related programmingUtilize and model data collection systems to monitor student progressAnalyze behavioral data and make recommendations for program adjustmentsConsultation and CollaborationObserve students in school settings and collaborate with instructional staff and related service providersProvide recommendations for behavioral strategies and implementation across settingsSupport staff in understanding and implementing behavior intervention plansFacilitate communication between school and home regarding behavioral supportsDirect Support and TrainingWork directly with students and staff to model and teach behavioral and social skill strategiesSupport implementation of ABA-based instructional practices, including Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and Natural Environment Teaching (NET), where appropriatePlan and support social skills instruction aligned with IEP goalsProvide ongoing coaching and professional development to staffTeam ParticipationParticipate in CSE/IEP meetings and other team meetings as appropriateContribute to the development and review of IEP goals and progress monitoringCollaborate with district leadership to support behavioral programming and complianceAdditional DutiesPerform other duties related to student behavioral support as assigned by the Director of Special Education or designeeGrade LevelsAll grade levels (Kâ12), districtwide.Salary and BenefitsSalary will be commensurate with experience and consistent with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
