Summer/2025VacancyTuckahoe High SchoolSpecial Education TeacherExtended School Year (ESY) Program Program Duration: July 1, 2025 – August 11, 2025(Monday through Friday schedule; 8:30 AM – 2:00 PM)Compensation as per ContractProgram Overview:Tuckahoe UFSD is seeking a skilled and committed Special Education Teacher to serve high school students with disabilities during our 2025 Extended School Year (ESY) program. The ESY program supports students who require additional instruction to maintain critical academic and functional skills over the summer months in alignment with their IEPs.Responsibilities Include:Deliver direct instruction in academic, social-emotional, and life skills in accordance with each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).Monitor and document student progress toward IEP goals and report data as required.Collaborate with support staff, related service providers, and families to ensure consistency in services and student support.Qualifications:Valid New York State teaching certification in Students with Disabilities (Grades 7–12) or equivalent Special Education certification.Experience preferred working with high school-aged students with a range of disabilities, including learning, developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs.Strong classroom management skills and ability to differentiate instruction.Ability to commit to the full duration of the ESY program.CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS IS: June 16, 2025 The Tuckahoe Union Free School District, its officers, and its employees do not discriminate against any individuals, including but not limited to students, employees or applicants based on race, color, national origin, ethnicity, religion, creed, sex, gender (including gender identity and gender expression), sexual orientation, disability, age, citizenship status, marital status, partner status, genetic information, predisposing genetic characteristics, weight, military status or service, political affiliation, or domestic violence victim status.
