The Middle/High School Principal will play a central role in advancing this vision and helping every student succeed.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the instructional leader for grades 6–12, ensuring strong curriculum alignment, effective teaching, and student engagementSupervise and support faculty and staff to create a collaborative, positive school cultureLead efforts in student discipline, safety, scheduling, and academic programmingCollaborate with district and building leaders to implement strategic goals related to Innovation, Engagement, and LearningFoster strong relationships with students, families, faculty, and community membersPromote data-informed decision-making, professional growth, and high expectations for all learnersEncourage co-curricular involvement, school spirit, and student leadershipThis leader will support the implementation of the district’s redefined pillars:Meeting the Needs of All LearnersSocial Emotional LearningInnovation, Engagement, and LearningQualificationsNYS School Building Leader (SBL) or equivalent certification requiredMinimum of five (5) years of administrative experience, with a proven record of success in secondary educationDemonstrated expertise in instructional leadership, teacher supervision, and school operationsAbility to lead with clarity, integrity, and responsivenessStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsExperience working in a public school setting preferredWhy Tuckahoe?Located in southern Westchester County, Tuckahoe is a small but vibrant district with a tradition of excellence and a focus on continuous improvement.
