SPECIAL ED. TEACHER (AUTISM) Certified PositionFull Time, 10-month position Affiliation: Teachers’ AssociationExceptional Education Department Location: T-S-T BOCES, Smith School and/or component districts, Ithaca, NYDUTIES: Responsible for all aspects of teaching including direct instruction of an elementary school level 8:1:3 class for students with Autism and communication needs. Duties include, but are not limited to the implementation, and modification of Next Generation Learning Standards/Curriculum, maintaining daily behavioral tracking and data based performance measures, records of progress, home/school communications, and consultation with team, etc. Perform other duties as required. *This position will work with students with Autism, whose communication and sensory needs significantly impact their learning. Previous experience working with elementary school students with Autism is preferred. The ability to work well on a diverse multi-disciplinary team is essential.QUALIFICATIONS: Must hold New York State Teacher Certification in Special Education, Grades 1-6 OR Permanent New York State Special Education Certification K-12.START DATE: September 2, 2025 or soonerSALARY: $56,500.00 (2025-2026 base salary) with additional salary credit for appropriate prior experience, Masters Degree and Grad Credits.
