TITLE: BUSINESS & INDUSTRY TRAINER: ADULT EDUCATIONHeat Pump Installation InstructorPart-time, Hourly Position Location: T-S-T BOCES CampusCourses offered throughout the year as needed Adult Education Department20 hour program offered as neededInstructor will be responsible for the development of an adult education Heat Pump Installation training program. Instructor will collaborate with the local manufacturing businesses and utilize the data from the needs assessment presently being conducted of local manufacturing companies by the Workforce Development Board. Focus will be on providing on-going training opportunities for the adults in our community to meet the growing manufacturing demands of our county. Instructor will develop the curriculum, lesson plans and related projects, set up classroom space and evaluate student progress. Instructor will develop and maintain excellent working relationships with business and industry professionals.QUALIFICATIONS:Preferred New York State Teacher Certification in technology education or other qualifying Career and Technical Education teaching certificate. Must be a team player, have excellent communication skills and be willing to work with adults from various educational and professional backgrounds. The preferred candidate will have at least 4 years of full time experience in teaching HVAC.In addition the preferred candidate must have:-experience with heating ventilation and air conditioning systems and their installation.-experience with programming, tooling, & operation of HVAC / Heat Pump systems-experience with utilizing imaging software-All Certifications must be maintained and kept up to date.START DATE: September 2023 (20 hour program offered throughout the year as needed.
