The Trumansburg Central School District is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated individual to serve as a Substitute Middle School Principal beginning January 26, 2026, for a period of up to 12 weeks.Position Overview:This interim role requires a strong leader to guide and support the middle school community during this transition period. This role ensures the continuity of leadership, safety, and instructional support within the school. The substitute leader collaborates with staff, students, and families to maintain a positive and productive school environment.Key Responsibilities:Provide instructional leadership and ensure a focus on student achievement.Supervise and support faculty, staff, and students in alignment with district policies.Maintain a safe and equitable school environment.Collaborate with families and community members to support student success.Manage day-to-day administrative duties, including scheduling, discipline, and staff evaluations as needed.Uphold the district's commitment to innovation, Tier 1 instruction, and differentiation.Qualifications:New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Administrator (SDA) certification required.Previous experience as a middle school principal or in an equivalent leadership role is preferred.Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and the broader school community.Compensation:This is a per diem position with a competitive daily rate, commensurate with experience.Application Process:To apply, please submit the following via OLAS:A cover letter outlining your qualifications and leadership philosophy.A current resume.Copies of relevant certifications.Contact information for three professional references.
