Tiegerman is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy, and compliance with all relevant regulations. This is a full-time position (benefits eligible) based out of our Glen Cove location. Hours are 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Non-exempt position, overtime eligible.Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):Process bi-weekly payroll for two companies accurately and timelyReconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reportsReview and modify time and attendance recordsEnter new employees into the Payroll systemTerminate departing employees from the Payroll systemProcess Payroll vouchers for all employee changes regarding any change of salary, title, transfer or employment statusMake all changes to deductions from payroll including but not limited to: health benefits, pension, garnishments, pension loansProcess all additional pay slips (ie. overtime forms)Make changes to employee direct deposit, tax withholdings, and/or any deductionsAssist with our Human Resource FunctionsReview all Pension ReportsDistribute all pension notices to all staffPerform all duties assigned by department SupervisorPerform data entry tasks efficientlyExperience:The ideal candidate should possess the following skills:Proficiency in debits and credits principlesExperience in general ledger reconciliationStrong analytical skills to interpret complex dataKnowledge of payroll management processesFamiliarity with accounts receivable proceduresAbility to use ADP or similar timekeeping systemsUnderstanding of tax regulations related to payrollAccurate and efficient in data entry tasksThis position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and accuracy are highly valued.
