OverviewTiegerman Preschool in Far Rockaway is looking to hire a Speech Language Pathologist- Leave Replacement. Position start date is December 2025 and will last approximately 3 months. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is responsible for working with students with speech/ communication difficulties, and feeding difficulties. The Speech-Language Pathologist reports directly to the Coordinator of Therapeutic Services. The Speech Language Pathologist is an exempt position. The SLP must be certified by NYSED.This position is Monday-Friday 8:15am-3:15pm.ResponsibilitiesMaintain and review student recordsEvaluate student progress and prepare reports that display their progressAssess the communication skills of the studentsPlan, organize and conduct speech and language therapy with students.Develop treatment plansMeet with parents and teachers to communicate information pertaining to the students’ individualized treatment planInstruct assigned support staff for the purpose of providing information on feeding plans and prescribed treatment plansProvide students, teachers, and families with written materials and documentationMake recommendations and referrals as neededResearch resources and treatment methods for the studentsMaintain professional training by attending workshopsPerform other job duties as assignedRequirementsValid state licensure or certification as a Speech Pathologist.Job Types: Full-time, TemporaryBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programRetirement planVision insurance
