Job Summary Tiegerman Preschool is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team. This position is shared between our Far Rockaway and Franklin Square locations. Occupational Therapists (OT) are responsible for assisting students with diagnosed disabilities in independently carrying out day to day tasks. Occupational Therapists directly report to the Coordinator of Therapeutic Services. OT is an exempt position. Occupational Therapists must be licensed. Locations: Far Rockaway (264 Beach 19th Street, Far Rockaway, NY 11691) Franklin Square (990 Holzheimer Street, Franklin Square, NY 11010) Duties · Maintain and review student records · Evaluate student progress and prepare reports that display their progress · Assess students’ physical abilities · Plan, organize and conduct OT sessions with students · Meet with parents and teachers to communicate information pertaining to the students’ IEP · Choose activities that assist students in learning life-management skills within limits of their abilities · Recommend changes in environment that could assist students with their needs and capabilities · Help students to improve their fine motor and visual motor skills · Make recommendations and referrals as needed · Maintain professional training by attending workshops · Research resources and treatment methods for the students · Design and create adaptive equipment for students · All other duties as assigned Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Referral program Vision insurance
