Tiegerman School is a special needs program servicing children from preschool through high school. We are looking for dedicated teacher assistants to join our Bridge program in our Elementary School for current and upcoming school years.Must hold a valid NYS Teaching Assistant Certification or actively work towards pursuing one in a timely fashion.Requirements for Bridge Program Teacher Assistant:1) One year experience working with children with developmental disabilities, particularly autism2) Understanding of basic ABA principles3) Dedication to increasing ABA skillset, including data collection4) Physically able to sit on floor and engage children5) Enthusiasm and patience for working with children who require frequent oversight, interaction, and intervention to learn basic skills6) Proactive and collaborative approach toward working as a member of a team7) Strong communication and interpersonal skillsTiegerman is an affirmative action and equal opportunity employer.
