Tiegerman Schools and Community Services is a non-profit program working with students and adults with developmental disabilities. Tiegerman is looking for a IT Coordinator to join our IT Department. The IT Coordinator is directly responsible for the development and implementation of information technology for Tiegerman. The work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. The IT Coordinator will report to the Facilities/IT Director. Bachelor's degree required; network administrator certification a plus. COVID-19 Vaccine required for all positions. This is a full time position, in-person, based out of our Glen Cove, NY location.Tiegerman IT Coordinator Responsibilities:Responsible for daily administration of network/server environmentInstalls, configures and maintains system softwarePlans and implements upgrades, patches, and installation of new applications and equipment.Creates and maintains a disaster recovery, security and backup and restore plan.May assist with evaluating new technologies to optimize network efficiency and performance.Assures that all identifying information as per HIPAA and FERPA regulations is protectedInstalls and configures computer hardware operating systemsConducts safety checks on computer equipmentAssist employees to resolve computer issues such as password resetWorks with Human Resources to set up and/or disable accounts for new hires/terminationsCoordinates with Program Administration to ensure digital curriculum materials/licenses are currentContributes to moderately complex aspects of a projectTiegerman is an EEO and AA employer
