Job Description:Tiegerman High School is looking for a School Nurse (RN). This is a full time position based out of Glen Cove. Tiegerman is a 12 month program.Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pmRequirements: Licensed RN; COVID VaccineThe School Nurse identifies and treats health disorders among students and helps to provide assistance with the maintenance of good health and disease prevention. The Nurse services as an advocate, liaison, and consultant on health related issues for students, families, and school personnel. They are a vital part of the school program in supporting an optimum physical, mental, emotional, and social climate for students and staff. School Nurse is an exempt position. The School Nurse reports to the Building Principal and Director.Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):Protect and maintains students’ health by providing professional nursing servicesIdentify and assess student health needsAct as a liaison between home and school, and community providers for medical issuesPromote an environment that is positive and student-centeredMaintain the security of school health suppliesProvide first aid and medically prescribed servicesKeep in contact with parents on the health needs of studentsRecommend corrective actions when problems are identifiedExercise good judgment when planning solutions for students medical needsMaintain student health recordsCreate/maintain policy and procedure for Nursing OfficeTrain staff on health and safety procedures*Tiegerman is an EEO and AA employerJob Type: Full-timePay: From $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental insuranceFlexible spending accountHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftEducation:Bachelor's (Preferred)License/Certification:RN License (Preferred)Work Location: One location
