The ideal candidate will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment have a strong background in experience working with diverse student populations, and a commitment to helping students succeed.Responsibilities:Administer diagnostic and state mandated assessments of English language learners.Evaluate and identify goals for individual English language learners, track progress of individual English language learners and communicate with faculty, students and families.Provide small-group or one-on-one instruction to students, using research-based intervention strategies, manipulatives, technology tools, and differentiated instruction techniques.Organize and maintain systems for record-keeping and reporting as required by district procedures.Utilize evidence-based social-emotional learning strategies to promote CASEL components.Implement diverse perspectives and voices into instructional materials and resources to expand students’ understanding of their culture and world.Use NYS standards as a foundation for setting clear learning goals and expectations for all students.Demonstrate strong classroom management skills.Qualifications:A Minimum Bachelor's degree in Education.Valid NYS ENL/TESOL certification (K-6 & 7-12) which provides a knowledge base for assisting students in elementary and secondary schools in meeting the State learning standards for students in English language arts; mathematics, science, and technology; and social studies.Experience working with students in Grades K-12 and providing ENL services.Knowledge in current educational research to inform instructional practices, ensuring lessons are grounded in evidence-based practices.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Engages in regular collaborative professional development to enhance collective knowledge and skills, supporting team efficacy rather than independent efforts alone.Additional Benefits:Generous Paid Time OffOn-going Professional Development and Career OpportunitiesHealth Insurance options: medical, dental, and visionNYS Retirement Benefits
