Washington Irving School Teaching Assistant (6.25 working hours per day)The successful candidate will deliver mini-lessons and small or individual instruction as prepared and explained by the teacher to both groups and individual students.Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:Assume the role of the head teacher in the absence of the lead teacher, ensuring continuity and quality in instruction.Independently manage both large and small groups, seeking guidance from the lead teacher as needed.Demonstrate a strong commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion within our community and culture.Display a passion for supporting emergent bilingual students, and providing them with necessary resources and assistance.Possesses experience working with diverse student populations, adapting teaching methods to meet varying needs.Feel comfortable incorporating technology as an instructional and learning tool, enhancing the educational experience for students.Required NYS Certification(s): Teaching Assistant Certification or Teacher CertificationAppointment Type: Probationary TrackEffective: Immediately Salary: Salary and benefits per the TAT Contract
