Washington Irving SchoolProbationary TrackELA / Mathematics DeveloperResponsibilities: Collaborates with the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction, & Equity (ASCIE) or his/her designee(s) to plan, design, and deliver professional development to teachers in their area(s) of expertise.Engages in the individual and small group Professional Development Coaching Cycles as needed.Creates grade-level and individual instructional support plans based on building administration feedback and district guidelines.Participates in district & building data analysis.Assists with the implementation of grant-funded programs.Supports family engagement and programs, including area-specific programming.Assists Principals with building & district initiatives.Engages in additional initiatives as directed by the ASCIE or building Principal.Reports to ASCIE & building Principal.QUALIFICATIONS:Comprehensive knowledge of pedagogical supports and strategiesFive (5) years of experience as a classroom teacher, teacher leader, mentor, and/or coachMust hold NYS Childhood Education 1-6 or Common Branch K-6 NYS CertificationNYS Certification in TESOL, Bilingual Extension, and/or familiarity with multilingual learner environments preferredAppointment: Probationary Track CERTIFICATION: NYS Childhood Education, Grades 1-6 or Common Branch K-6, requiredEFFECTIVE: Immediately Salary and benefits per the TAT Contract—range for teachers based on experience and education.
