Social Studies Teacher Syosset High School Available on August 25, 2026 The Syosset Central School District seeks a Social Studies Teacher for Syosset High School. This anticipated vacancy is a probationary appointment. The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications: Hold NYSED certification in Social Studies, 7-12 Demonstrated ability to align instruction and assessment with the NYS Social Studies Frameworks and Next Generation Literacy Standards Experience with Integrated Co-Teaching Experience with teaching Advanced Placement courses in Social Studies; More specifically AP US Government and Politics, AP Microeconomics, and AP Macroeconomics are encouraged to apply Experience in social science and/or behavior science research encouraged to apply Demonstrated proficiency and experience in online learning platforms such as Google Apps for Educators and/or CANVAS A philosophy and practical understanding of supporting all students through a Culturally Responsive and Sustaining Educational Model Outstanding communication competencies using a multitude of in-person and networking platforms Exemplary organizational, time-management, and collaborative abilities Salary per Syosset Teachers Association contract Qualified candidates should apply via OLAS with a cover letter and resume to: Dr. Giovanni Durante Principal Syosset High School P.O.
