PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:In collaboration with the school principal, works to maintain a positive educational environment.Support the principal on all issues relating to the successful operation of the Center for Special Services.Collaborate with the Director and Principal to lead campus wide strategies toward the achievement of identified goals and initiatives.In collaboration with the leadership team, participate in all aspects, including delivery of Professional Development at the Center for Special Services.Supervise and evaluate instructional staff in accordance with the agreed upon APR Plan, Board of Education Policies, contractual and legal requirements.Maintain positive relationships with parents, district personnel, and members of the school community.Schedule and oversee the administration of campus-wide assessments.Participate in program development based upon identities, workforce needs, and projections. QUALIFICATIONS:New York State Building -Level administrative certification.New York State Teaching Certification – Special Education preferred.Excellent verbal, written, and listening skills.Prior teaching experience, minimum three (3) years.Prior administrative experience preferred.Knowledge and experience with all facets of New York State Special Education Laws and Regulations.Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
