IN ADDITION TO APPLYING ON OLAS, TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION PROCESS PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE AT:www.swboces.org/JoinOurTeamPRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Updating, managing, reporting, analysis, report creation, and tracking of all data for NYSED and Civil Rights Reporting requirements.Participate in data team discussions related to reported student information, testing, etc.Provide written and digital reports of tracked data via spreadsheet or database.Rostering of all students in K-12 Program in but not limited to assessment-based applications, instructional applications, and/or other databases (i.e. iXL, i-Ready, NOCTI, Xenegrade, eSchoolData, Castle Learning, etc.)Responsible for managing students’ accounts.Basic support and coordination of support for users of the student management system. Coordinate with the LHRIC around support needed. Examples can include review of course codes, teacher of record designations, or data extractions.Responsible for various data reports for internal data analysis as requested by administration.Compiles, tabulates and codes statistical reports using automated systems to produce spreadsheets, graphs, and databases. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:Five years minimum experience directly being responsible for working with reporting and managing student related data in a New York school district setting for NYSED reporting requirements.Must have experience managing New York public school district student data and reporting to NYSED using information from various NY templates as well as working with Student Information Systems, specifically eSchoolData or others. CIVIL SERVICE QUALIFICATIONS:Either: a) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and five (5) years of work experience in which the primary function of the position was using automated spreadsheet and database programs; or (b) a Bachelor’s Degree* and (1) one year of work experience as described in (a); or (c) a Bachelor’s Degree* or Master’s degree* in Computer Science, Information Technology, Analytics, Data Science or a closely related field.*SPECIAL NOTE: Education beyond the secondary level must have been awarded by a college or university accredited by a regional, national, or specialized agency recognized as an accrediting agency by the U.S. department of Education/U.S. Secretary of Education.Priority given to those on a civil service eligibles list for this title.Candidates must meet the minimum qualifications to be eligible to take the Civil Service Exam for this title and be reachable by the rule of three on the list.
