PRIMARY PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:Serve as a Substitute Teacher to deliver lessons when the Teacher is absent.When necessary, prepare lessons.Communicate with the Supervisor and Teachers regarding lessons and coverage.Collect and record attendance data. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:New York State Adult Education Teaching Certification: Literacy and GED Instructor or English Language Learning InstructorPrior experience teaching adult learners preferred.Ability to utilize data collection systems.Excellent written, verbal, listening and communication skills.Up-to-date knowledge and understanding of ELL and GED curriculum.Flexibility and the ability to design and deliver lessons on short notice.Ability to communicate with, and deliver lessons to, adult students with diverse learning needs.
