Duties:Co-lead a smart, talented and diverse team of educators and staff whoa re committed to supporting schools and districts in providing ALL children with high quality learning environments.Conduct needs assessment, calendar professional learning programs, build program descriptions (learning goals, activities for learning, and assessing for learning) and partner with industry experts to support K12 educators.Design and lead high-quality professional learning opportunities within current and growing areas of expertise (in-person, hybrid, online courses, embedded coaching, etc) regionally and in-district.Remain current in policies and practices related to professional learning, NYSED standards-based curriculum, teaching and learning, and diversity, equity and inclusion.Engage in and facilitate research and evaluation to determine the effectiveness of current Center, district, and school practices and identify commendations and recommendations.Assist the Center’s Senior Director in supervising and evaluating the Center’s Team Members.Serve as the Center Lead in the absence of the Senior Director of the center.Participate in Board of Education presentation as requested by the Superintendent.Assist districts in developing their professional learning plan in accordance with district, NYSED, and federal guidance.Collaborate with the Center’s team to assure national, state, and local initiatives are supported and reflected in the Center’s daily operations and reflected in necessary reports and documents.Participate in the budget process including regular center-wide P&L meetings, budget preparation, budget administration and opening and closing years in collaboration with the Center’s team.Minimum Qualifications:Master’s degree in an education-related field and appropriate NYS certification as NYS School District Leader (SDL) or School District Administration (SDA)Five (5+) years school or district based experience as a teacher, academic coach, and or school/district leader/administratorExcellent teaching, coaching, communicating and presentation skillsSuccessful history of planning and leading professional learning in face-to-face, hybrid and virtual learning environmentsAbility to travel to schools and districts throughout the region and surrounding areas and attend occasional state-wide meetings either virtually or in personExperience building and administering school/program budgetsStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively on a team that includes field-based consultantsExpert in selecting and using instructional technology
