The Spencer-Van Etten Central School District is hiring a long-term substitute Teaching Assistant for the high school. This position, under the general supervision of the school principal, will create and maintain an educational atmosphere that encourages effective student learning and supports school and district programs. Instructional services will be provided under the general supervision of a licensed or certified teacher who is responsible for the student’s instruction. This position is responsible for: • Providing the teacher with information about pupils which will assist the teacher in the development of appropriate learning and behavioral experiences • Assisting students with specific health related activities as appropriate.
