FULL-TIME NON-INSTRUCTIONAL POSITION AVAILABLEHEAD COOKDISTRICTWIDEEFFECTIVE: FEBRUARY 2025HOURS: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm ( ½ hr. unpaid lunch)RESPONSIBILITIES: - Supervise food service workers in kitchen and serving areas - Assign personnel to tasks, workstations, and equipment - Write daily work plans and prepare meals - Responsible for ordering and tracking kitchen inventory - Learn and utilize POS systems - Accountable for counting and collecting all revenues - Attend monthly/bimonthly lead chef meetings QUALIFICATIONS: - 4 years of experience in food preparation within a commercial establishment, institution, hotel, restaurant, or food enterprise - Ability to plan, coordinate, and supervise food service personnel - Proficient in maintaining accurate records and reporting - Knowledge of daily food requirements and portion control - Familiarity with all jobs under supervision - Must obtain a Food Manager’s Certificate *All applicants must meet Civil Service approval requirementsSALARY: As per negotiated contract
