Program Director Position Available21st Century Community Learning CenterWALT WHITMAN HS, Countrywood and Oakwood Primary CentersEFFECTIVE November 1, 2022- June 30, 2023MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Human Services, Human Resources or related field2. Experience in community outreach, building teams, and/or engaging stakeholders3. Experience developing afterschool programs and/or community programs4. Experience managing staff and/or budgets5. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and computer skills; detail-oriented; ability to meet deadlines. POSITIONS: 1-Program Director for 8 months; November 1- June 30 November 1 through June 30 full time position. On site hours required generally 2-6 PM, additional hours are flexible and some may be virtual Some Saturday, evening hours Position may start earlier depending on successful candidate’s availability. Summer hours are different The district is looking for a self-directed, talented individual to serve as a Program Director for our 21st Century Community Learning Center (CCLC) Grant. The CCLC grant will fund academic and enrichment programs after school for students in grades 9-10 at Walt Whitman High School, after school and during the summer for Kindergarten students at Countrywood and Oakwood Primary centers. The position will provide leadership in creating an inviting and safe environment for extra-curricular and academic opportunities for students.The Program Director is responsible for working with teachers to design programs and overseeing instructors; conducting program evaluation and data collection; building and strengthening community partnerships; and participating in state and regional meetings, trainings, and workshops. Specific Responsibilities include: Planning and oversight of after school programs for students in grades 9-10 at Walt Whitman High SchoolPlanning and oversight of after school programs and summer programs for Kindergarten at Countrywood and Oakwood Primary Centers.Working with teachers, guidance counselors, case workers, students, and school principals to design an exciting and engaging schedule of programs for academic enrichment, remediation, and exploration that meets the needs of students and families and the goals of the grant.Daily oversight of programs and staff while programs are in operation (after school and summer).Supervising all program staff including Site Coordinators, Teachers/Tutors, Enrichment Specialists, and other staff to ensure program goals and objectives are metDeveloping and maintaining a schedule for project based learning, academic, recreational, career development, and extra-curricular activities.Building and maintaining relationships with program partners, families, community members, and meeting regularly with school administrators, partners and stakeholders.Working with Evaluation team to conduct program evaluation and performance measurement.Developing student and family outreach, recruitment, and retention plans.Salary: $33,733 for 8 months
