Somers Central School District is in search of a high school assistant principal for Grades 9 to 12. Experience supporting students at the high school level. Compensation will be competitive for the region. All candidates must possess or be eligible for NYS administrative certification. International Baccalaureate experience preferred. An ideal assistant principal candidate will be responsible for the following: Demonstrate effective instructional leadership by guiding and supporting faculty in the implementation of impactful teaching practices. Maintain a safe, nurturing, inclusive learning environment for all students. Balance perspectives and concerns from students, teachers, and parents, fostering collaborative decision-making in the best interest of students, and maintain transparent communication with all stakeholders. Cultivate an environment that nurtures mutual respect among students, parents, and teachers. Hold, or be eligible for, New York State SAS or SBL certification.
