South Country Central School District has anticipated an opening for Full Time Contractual Speech Therapist. We are seeking a compassionate and qualified individual to join our team as a School Speech Therapist. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students overcome speech or language challenges in an educational setting.Conduct evaluations and make recommendation for speech services for students with speech or language impairments.Develop individualized speech sessions based on student needs and goals.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students success in the classroom.Progress monitor students towards IEP goals and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders. Stay current on best practices and research in the field of speech-language pathology.Appropriate NYS Certification requiredExperience working with school-aged children with speech or language impairments.Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.When applying, please submit a cover letter, résumé, copy of certification(s), unofficial transcripts and a list of professional references.Salary is per contract.
