South Country Central School District has an anticipated opening for a Security Supervisor.RESPONSIBILITES• On a daily basis, oversee all safety officers as they interact with students, staff and community.• Participate in professional development, including training with law enforcement• Participate in the planning and implementation of all safety drills• Collaborates with administration to coordinate safety officer responsibilities at district functions• Collaborates with Athletic Director to coordinate event supervision• Ensure that all safety officers are at their post and understand their responsibilities• Schedule training and reinforce/support the RTI and CPI process districtwide• Evaluate processes and procedures for the flow of students• Evaluate arrival and departure protocols• Develop procedures for visitors who arrive for various issues to any of the buildings within the district• Report any concerns to the Building Principal where the issues arise• Interviews potential candidates• Works with Administration for the improvement of school safetyQUALIFICATIONS• Former Law Enforcement and Police Academy Training preferred• Experience working with the public• Familiar with the South Country community• Good temperament• Good written and oral communication skills• Must have valid NYS Guard License and Basic Life Support Certification.Salary: Commensurate with ExperienceWhen applying, please submit a cover letter, résumé, copy of certification(s), unofficial transcripts and a list of professional references.
