The district seeks a highly motivated individual to serve as an exceptional instructional leader for Faculty, Staff and Students, and to oversee the administration, supervision, and operation of a comprehensive Elementary School program. Reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools. Responsibilities: Demonstrated ability to effectively align NYS learning standards with curriculum and assessments Solid knowledge of the APPR process & evaluations Strong computer skills and understanding of data systems Knowledge of effective Positive Behavior Intervention Systems (PBIS) Effectiveness in developing strong human relations and strong instructional leadership qualities Work cooperatively with administrators, faculty, support staff, Supervise and evaluate instructional and non-instructional staff Interview and recommend prospective instructional and non-instructional staff as openings occur Arrange and provide orientation for new faculty and staff Faculty and Staff Professional Development Development of annual building goals and objectives Promotes constructive relationships between the school district and community Prepare and analyze student achievement data reports and make data driven decisions Plan for continuous improvement of instruction and student achievement Conduct faculty meetings and attend periodic after-school meetings Coordinate the building activities with other buildings Work with and be available for parents and students as needed Serves in an advisory capacity on the coordination of activities of the school system Establish protocols for professional learning communities and oversee its effectiveness Develop and monitor school budget development Ability to implement systematic supervision Implements the policies of the Board of Education, the regulations and directives of the Office of the Superintendent and existing employees’ contracts Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or his designee Required: A minimum of five (5) years of successful teaching experience Candidates must demonstrate leadership ability and a willingness to devote time beyond the regular school day in the performance of responsibilities Valid NYS Administrative Certification General: Salary and benefits for this position will be in accordance with the SCAA contract
