Date: August 24, 2026 Posting #: CP 3049 ANNOUNCEMENT OF VACANCIES ACADEMIC INTERVENTION TUTORS - ELEMENTARY Tutors are part-time certified teachers who provide academic intervention services in math and/or reading for students in grades K - 5. Tutors work 4 days per week for a total of 19 hours weekly and can substitute teach on their day off. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: New York State certification in Elementary Education, Reading and/or Special Education. Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Dual certification preferred Experience using instructional practices and literacy interventions aligned with the science of reading Formal training and experience using UFLI Foundations, Fundations, Heggerty, and Eureka Math Experience with RtI and progress monitoring students Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Experience providing small group instruction in math and reading Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology Bilingual communication skills preferred APPLICANTS ARE REQUIRED TO HOLD A CURRENT TEACHING CERTIFICATION TITLE: AIS Tutor SALARY: As per STA Contract: $27,477.59 (Equates to $36.15/Hour) LOCATION: District Elementary Schools EFFECTIVE: 9/16/2026 APPLICATION DEADLINE: 9/4/2026 Applications for the above position are to be made by submitting a cover letter including the posting number, two professional references and a resume addressed to: Neil D.
