Date: June 29, 2026 Posting #: 16969 ANNOUNCEMENT OF AN ANTICIPATED VACANCY FOR AN ELEMENTARY TEACHER AIDE TITLE: Elementary Teacher Aide CIVIL SERVICE CLASSIFICATION: School Monitor/Non-Competitive EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS: Seeking a professional and articulate individual to support the daily operations of an elementary school. Candidates should work well with others, take initiative, and complete various tasks to support students and teachers. They must be organized, communicate effectively and demonstrate sound judgement. Experience with technology and working with elementary school students in a school setting is preferred. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. SALARY: $21.09/hour or as per SSEA contract LOCATION: Mills Pond Elementary WORK YEAR: 10 Months - School Year WORK HOURS: 17.5 hours/week (Shifts between 12:15 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.) EFFECTIVE: September 2, 2026 APPLICATION DEADLINE: July 8, 2026 The location and hours of the above noted vacancy are subject to change should this position be filled by the lateral transfer of a current employee.
