Date: June 26, 2026 Posting #: CP3032 ANNOUNCEMENT OF ANTICIPATED VACANCY SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER (PROB) - MIDDLE SCHOOL The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Special Education teaching responsibilities including (but not limited to) individual case management, standardized testing, curriculum delivery, parent contact, IEP facilitation, data collection, goal writing, grading, CSE meeting attendance and classroom management. Possible placements can include Resource Room, Integrated Co-Teaching or Special classes. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: New York State certification in Special Education that includes Grades 6-8 is required. Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Additional certifications in a content area (English, Social Studies, Math or Science) preferred. A minimum of 3 years teaching experience in a Special Class and/or Integrated Co-Teaching setting. Evaluation facilitation experience for Initial and Annual/Re-Evaluation Reviews. Knowledge of Google Classroom and instructional technology. Bilingual communication skills preferred.
