Date: June 23, 2026 Posting #: CP3033 ANNOUNCEMENT OF A VACANCIES: LONG-TERM LEAVE REPLACEMENTS SCHOOL COUNSELORS - M.S. Long Term Leave Replacement vacancies exist in the middle schools. The successful candidates will champion student success by monitoring and recording academic progress, identifying needs, and making appropriate referrals for academic, social, and mental health support. The counselors will collaborate closely with staff and administration to ensure programs align with school and district goals and will actively contribute to Instructional Support Team (IST) meetings. The counselors will also be responsible for delivering elementary guidance lessons across multiple buildings. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: New York State School Counselor certification. Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: 1 - 3 years of middle and elementary school counseling experience is preferred. Experience with Student and Information Management Systems (e.g. PowerSchool) preferred. Experience with student scheduling. Experience with Google Suite. Demonstrated ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Bilingual candidate preferred, not required.
