SMITHTOWN CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT OFFICE OF CERTIFIED PERSONNEL Date: April 16, 2026 Posting #: CP3010 ANNOUNCEMENT OF ANTICIPATED VACANCIES: SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGISTS - ELEM SCHOOL The successful candidate will be responsible for providing counseling for school-aged children, conducting and chairing CSE meetings, convening and leading Instructional Support Team meetings, writing reports and maintaining accurate data records. Vacancies include probationary and leave replacement opportunities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: New York State School Psychologist certification. Applicants must be appropriately certified prior to the start of employment. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: Three (3) years experience as a school psychologist at the elementary level. Experience chairing CSE meetings. Bilingual communication skills preferred, not required. CPI training is preferred but not required. REQUIREMENTS: Participation in the Instructional Support Team. Conduct school-based individual and group testing. Provide school-based individual and group counseling. Conduct student Risk Assessments.
