One on one Aid for Medically Fragile Student. 8 a.m. - 3 pm. This position requires a dedicated individual who can identify signs of distress and respond appropriately in an emergency situation. Key responsibilities include:1-1 care for fragile student during transport to and from school and during school hours.Monitor student's health status and identify signs of distress or medical emergency.Administer CPR if needed.Collaborate with staff, healthcare providers, and student's family to ensure comprehensive care.Maintain accurate health records and document any incidents or changes in student's condition.Assist with daily activities - including mobility and hygiene as needed.Implement and follow the student's Individualized Health Plan and Emergency Action Plan.Participate in training sessions and stay updated on best practices for caring for medically fragile students.Must hold a current/valid certification as a CNA, LPN, or RN. Current CPR and First Aid certification required.Experience working with children, preferably in a school setting.Strong knowledge of medical procedures and emergency response protocols.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.Compassionate, patient and attentive to the needs of the student.Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team (educators, school nurse, and medical professionals.NYS Dept of Education Fingerprint Clearance required.
