Job ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for leading the articulation and implementation of a comprehensive K-5 program of studies inclusive of dynamic instruction; innovative projects and performance tasks at the K-5 elementary schools. Works directly with the Deputy Superintendent, building leadership and applicable faculty and staff to integrate key curriculum areas, including but not limited to K-5 ELA and Social Studies. Provides oversight of the elementary enrichment and acceleration programming. Responsible for leading curriculum planning, assessment, accountability reporting, and evaluation of current and new content aligned with the District’s goals. Compensation & BenefitsMinimally $85,000+ per year, otherwise commensurate with experienceShenendehowa Administrators’ Association (SAA) Certifications/QualificationsNYS School Building Leader (SBL), School District Administrator (SDA) or School District Leader (SDL) certificate;NYS Teaching Certificate with minimum five (5) years’ experience teaching ELA, social studies and/or related field and three (3) years’ administrative/supervisory experience; and Extensive knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and current trends of school administration and instructional leadership, technology, literacy, and curriculum is required.
