SCO Family of Services welcomes you to join our family and help us work together to carry out our mission to build a stronger tomorrow.Job duties include:Provide consultation services with teachers, teacher assistants, on behavioral interventions, data collection, and psychological/psychiatric conditions.Consult and provide consultation services with related service staff (i.e.- speech pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists) on behavioral strategies utilized during their sessions as well as progress made by the students.Provide individual and group counseling services with students.Complete Functional behavior Assessments (FBAs), Behavior intervention plans (BIPs) in preparation for IEP/CSE meetings or as necessarySubmit all necessary paperwork and input student management needs and pertinent evaluations and information into a student’s IEPs.Participate in CSE meetings including annuals, re-evaluations, and requested reviews.Collect and analyze behavior data to monitor the effectiveness of student’s individual behavior intervention plans and submit quarterly behavior progress notes.Consult with campus psychiatrist as needed to address behavior or medication related concerns.Chair and run classroom team builder’s meetings to discuss student behavior concerns with assigned classrooms.Attend weekly campus wide critical behavior meetings to discuss behavioral concerns and progress of students.Maintain training and certification in all aspects of therapeutic crisis intervention (TCI), restraint techniques, and behavior management and provide immediate TCI to provide structure and support in line with the TCI curriculum and students individual BIPsModel composure and good judgement during crisis situations.Models and contributes positively to the overall climate of the school using positive behavior intervention and supports (PBIS) with both students and staff members. Is an active member of the PBIS committee.Participate in intake meetings and screenings of incoming students.Perform other duties as assigned such as assisting in arrival/dismissal, fire drills, staffing, field trips, events, etc.Qualifications:Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.NYSED School Psychologist certification (Initial or Permanent)Experience working with the developmentally disabled population.Proficiency in computer programs such as Microsoft word, excel, and power point.Ability to work and collaborate effectively with team members.This position requires successful completion and maintenance of therapeutic crisis intervention training which includes a written test and demonstration of physical restraints, as specified by the program and regulatory body.**SCO Family of Services is an Equal Opportunity Employment EmployerJob Type: Full-time, 12 monthsSalary: Starting at $62,000.00 per yearBenefits:Dental and vision coverageEmployee discount programsCompetitive Health insurance programLife insurancePaid time off following school calendarRetirement savings planTuition reimbursement programSchedule: Monday-Friday 8:15am-3:15pmLocation: Tyree Learning Center, Park and Downing Avenues, Seacliff NY
