We help build confidence, strengthen family bonds, and support the transition back home or to a home in the community.PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: To provide behavior management support for crisis intervention whenneeded in school and Group Residence.REPORTS TO: Principal and/or GR DirectorSUPERVISES: NA1. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:· Is trained in all aspects of restraint techniques, crisis intervention and behavior management.· Demonstrates willingness to accept and respond to direction and ongoing supervision.· Demonstrates ability to modify one’s style and techniques to appropriately match the needs of a given student.· Participation in team meetings to develop treatment, obtain information, and provide feedback/input.· Provide support to staff members on an ongoing basis as well as during a potential and actual crisis.· Fosters internalization of behavior control.· Models calmness and assurance in order to set a tone of stability and control in daily activities and crisis situations for both staff and clients.· Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making· Maintains an awareness of each resident’s emotional, physical ,and spiritual needs and refers her to other team members, when necessary, to meet those needs.· Provide immediate therapeutic crisis intervention in order to provide structure and discipline in line with policies.· Attend and participate in crisis team meetings.· Arrange and conduct mediations.· Provide time away for students.· Supervise Day Treatment students in morning procedures.· Supports Group Residence units after school dismissal and during school vacations· Maintains documentation of behaviors and submits in a timely manner.· Prepare for and attend supervisory sessions and required training.· Performs all duties as assignedII. QUALIFICATIONS:· Equivalent work experience· Related experience with adolescents preferred· Attending TCI class for certification/re-certification and passing a test upon completion, of course, is a minimum requirement for employment.· Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, Driver’s license, and fingerprinting as required by the program.· Compliance with health regulations for physical/Mantoux testing, COVID 19 vaccinationIII.
