Defines administrative department or program’s annual goals, and allocates staff roles and budget to achieve agreed upon annual targeted metricsSets individual performance objectives with executive manager, and communicates his/her objective with direct reports to clarify his/her focus for the yearProvides ongoing supervision and coaching to management staff to ensure optimal team performance and delivery of administrative department or program goalsManages the Performance and Talent Management initiatives within an administration department or program to support SCO’s long-term workforce planning activitiesEngages with multiple external stakeholders to promote SCO and his/her administrative department’s or program’s value and contribution to SCO’s missionWorks with internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and delivery of services against established stakeholder requirementsJOB TITLE: ESSENTIAL DUTIESResponsible for maintaining a simulated work environment in the vocational room which will help develop appropriate work habits/attitude among the students.Work cooperatively with all staff associated with the Vocational Program to maximize student potential.Assist in providing appropriate vocational curriculum and materials of the classroom teachers.Contacting employers on a regular basis to assess students’ progress and develop a working relationship with employer.Serves as a member of SCO’s Executive Council, and as a member of the Council, adheres to all role requirements as described in the Executive Council CharterPerforms all other duties as assigned KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORSConsistent adherence to SCO policies and procedures within the assigned program(s)Formal and informal feedback from SCO executive management regarding achievement of targeted individual performanceFormal feedback from SCO executives and funding sources regarding targeted program performanceAccurate budgeting and cost management for program expenses, including staff compensationExecution of all performance and talent management initiativesImprovement in voluntary staff turnover and staff absenteeism from previous yearBEST PRACTICE RQUIREMENTSBe team players.Have a strong sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic characteristics present among staff and clients within our organization.Possess a strong belief in people’s ability to grow and change; forge a mutually respectful partnership with persons served and their families.Ability to set limits and maintain helping role of practitioner and to intervene appropriately.Provides employees with on-going supervision and training related to abuse riskProvides employees with regular feedback regarding their boundaries with clientsRequires employees to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse riskResponds quickly to policy and procedure violations using the organizations progressive disciplinary proceduresResponds seriously and confidently to reports of suspicious and inappropriate behaviorsFollows mandated reporting requirementsCommunicates to all employees the organization’s commitment to protect their clients from abuseReports essential abuse risk management information to the board of directors
