SIGN ON BONUS $3,000The Director of Education is responsible for day to day operations and overall program development, as well as intermediate and long-range planning for programmatic improvement of the quality of the TORCH Annex program.Duties & Responsibilities:The Director of Education is responsible for day to day operations and overall program development, implementation, and evaluation of the TORCH Annex Program.Maintains on-going communication with CPSE administrators.Review the special education referral packets for admission to program.Provide tours to potential enrollees and their familyMonitor the timeliness of the Annual Review and Turning-5 process to ensure compliance with NYS Education Department RegulationsMonitor the implementation of IEPsResponsible for school management, supervision, and evaluation of staff.Monitor the related service providers’ schedule.Responsible for curriculum development and its implementationConducts daily Health inspectionsCoordinate day to day transportation.Develop and maintain effective communications with parents. Serve as member of Inter-disciplinary Team, Intake Committee and Clinical Team.Represent school at meetings with outside agencies, school districts, etc.Education & ExperienceSchool Administrator and Supervisor (SAS) Certificate or School District Administrator (SDA) Certificate, or School Building Leader (SBL) CertificateNew York State Certification in Early Childhood Education.At least (2) two years of full-time valid experience in a classroom teaching children less than six years of age and in Special Education.Bilingual Spanish speaking
