Position: Sr HS Earth Science TeacherSouthern Cayuga CSD is seeking a full-time 1.0 tenure track Earth Science Teacher to join our team starting in September 2023. This tenure track position will focus on teaching all Regents level Earth Science students in grade 9 (about 40 students) w/ labs and a Natural Disasters course. There is also is a need for one section of Regents Physics w/lab in the near future. Earth Science units of study may be found using this link to the curriculum map.START DATE: September 5, 2023 GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The candidate should have:NYS Certification, Earth Science & General Science (7-12).Explicit knowledge of NYS Earth Science standards and understanding of data collection on priority standards.Effective communication skills to engage students, parents, colleagues and the school community as a whole. Awareness and experience with technology applications such as Google Classroom.Creative curriculum planning design. SALARY AND BENEFITS:Per the Southern Cayuga Teachers’ Association Contract.
