The Scotia-Glenville Central School District is accepting applications for two full-time probationary, grades 9-12, Social Studies teachers beginning September 1, 2026. New York State Social Studies certification, 7-12, is required. Key Responsibilities & Qualifications:Work collaboratively with Social Studies colleagues to design curriculum and lessons that address New York State K-12 Social Studies Framework. Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.Be approachable and willing to meet student needs academically and emotionally.Complete all tasks as required of probationary Social Studies teachers, including but not limited to grading, communication with parents as needed, and providing student support as needed (during and after school).Utilize an array of data to drive instruction and differentiate materials for individual learners.Collaborate with administrators, co-teachers, related service providers, and parents to understand and meet the needs of students.Participate in regular PD either through the district or through external organizations.Participate in the district mentoring program.
