The Scotia-Glenville Central School District is accepting applications for a full-time long-term substitute Social Studies teacher at the High School. The successful LTS candidate will teach four sections of Global 10 and one section of Social Studies Support. The LTS assignment will run from approximately March 24, 2025, through June 27, 2025. New York State Social Studies certification, 7-12, is required. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.Foster a positive classroom culture that promotes diversity.Design curriculum and lessons that address New York State K-12 Social Studies Framework. Complete all tasks as required of probationary Social Studies teachers, including but not limited to grading, communication with parents as needed, and providing student support as needed (during and after school).Utilize an array of data to drive instruction and differentiate materials for individual learners.Collaborate with administrators, teachers, related service providers, and parents to understand and meet the needs of students.
