Elementary Special Education Special Class 8:1:2 - Extended YearThe Scarsdale Schools are seeking talented, experienced, and innovative candidates for a special education teacher for an 8:1:2 special class program at Edgewood Elementary School. Edgewood elementary school is a dynamic neighborhood school that spans grades K-5 with an approximate enrollment of 375 students. We offer rich and varied educational programs, along with an active, supportive parent body. The program is structured as an 8:1:2 classroom supporting students with Autism and other developmental delays. In addition to holding the appropriate Special Education certification, qualified candidates will have experience with ABA and TEACCH, augmentative communication, and behavior management, and five or more years of experience working with a similar student population. Dual certification in early childhood or childhood education is preferred. The program hours are 8:00am to 2:00pm and runs from July 1, 2024 - August 9, 2024.Scarsdale Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
