Teacher Aides (Middle School)Scarsdale Middle school is continuously recruiting applicants to the position of Teacher Aide to support our instructional program. Scarsdale Middle School spans grades 6-8, and offers a rich and varied educational program to the high-achieving student population of approximately 1100 students. The school community boasts an accomplished faculty and staff along with an active, supportive parent body. Scarsdale Middle School focuses on the developmental needs of early adolescents and fosters a highly challenging, nurturing, and supportive intellectual environment.All Teacher Aide positions in the Scarsdale Public Schools are part-time civil-service positions classified under Westchester County Office of Human Resources. Whether working in a classroom, assisting a teacher, supervising lunch and recess, or working directly with individual students, the aide’s work is an integral part of our school community. Given the diversity of assignments, the individual duties and responsibilities will vary from aide to aide. The particulars of any individual's specific assignment will be determined by the needs of the students, as primarily determined by the teacher, and the needs of the building and district.Hours: Typically 5-5.5 hours/dayPay: $18.16 - $25.09/hourScarsdale Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
