Interim Elementary School PrincipalThe Scarsdale Public Schools seeks exemplary candidates for the position of Interim Principal at Edgewood Elementary School. The school spans grades K-5, and offers a rich and varied educational program, including Spanish language instruction beginning in grade 2, an evolving STEAM curriculum, and Maker Space. Edgewood has an enrollment of roughly 350 students, and an active, supportive parent body.The Interim Principal will lead the talented faculty and staff during the 2023-24 school year, as we anticipate a full search for the 2024-25 school year. We are seeking an educator with a demonstrated record of accomplishment as a Principal in a high-achieving elementary school. The successful candidate will:possess a thorough understanding of elementary level education and the development of young readers, writers, problem-solvers, and thinkers,provide instructional leadership, and shepherd the evaluation and improvement of educational programs,collaborate with the assistant principal, faculty, staff, students, and parents to promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive learning environment that fosters mutual respect,model and promote critical and creative thinking,be a strong advocate for children,Hold SAS, SBL, SDA, and/or SDL certification.Scarsdale Public Schools is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
